It’s going to be a wondrously
grand day … I know this already,
because I’m doing laundry …

I enjoy doing laundry,
in case it isn’t obvious …
There’s something just
so glorious about
clothes fresh from the dryer
or warm from the sun …
I love the sparkling whites
and vivid colors,
but it’s so much more than this …

When I play with laundry,
what I’m really doing is
washing away past negativity …
I’m sluffing off any
hurts or disappointments,
even any rudeness
that may have been experienced
the last time I wore each garment …
I get to keep the favorite colors
all bright and shining,
and I get to enjoy again the
soft feel and the lovely freshness.
while I let go of all
that shouldn’t be kept …

Doing laundry is a reminder
that each day is its own
new beginning …
And today is going
to be wondrously grand !!!
