The wings of love, some people say, are like those of a dove, feather-soft yet very strong to lift you high above the valleys of depression and let you glide above Some others say the wings of love are like a butterfly, delicate and fragile, while their colors also vie with rainbow hues that stretch across the gray and cloudy sky It's even thought the wings of love are made of soft, warm light, quiet lumination that makes the darkness bright, a gentle glow that touches hearts and elates the soul to flight It's my belief the wings of love are all these things and more I know love's wings have held me up and let my spirit soar They are the strength of angels, and they open Heaven's door When sadness overtakes you, as it sometimes does us all, when your heart is heavy-laden and your back's against the wall, I'll wrap you in the wings of love and never let you fall © Shelley L.
